2
Zinc acetate ineffective for chronic cough treatment
Researchers tested whether zinc acetate could help people suffering from persistent, hard-to-treat cough. In this randomized, placebo-controlled pilot study, 34 participants received either zinc acetate or placebo for 6 weeks, with improvements measured using four different cough and quality-of-life scales.

While zinc successfully increased serum zinc levels in treated participants, both groups improved similarly across all measures. The improvements in cough symptoms and quality of life were too small to meet clinically meaningful thresholds, suggesting zinc acetate offers no real advantage over placebo for chronic cough sufferers.

Flu prevention effective

Efficient! At the first sign of flu and cough, I take a few capsules with VitD3, preventing the disease from escalating. I advise against taking it on an empty stomach if you have a sensitive stomach; I always have a little something to nibble on with it.

Cough relief achieved
Every autumn, I suffered from tonsillitis, bronchitis, and rhinitis, which was quite troubling. A friend suggested I try zinc. I began taking one capsule daily in August for two months. Now, by mid-December, I've forgotten about my handkerchiefs and my cough. It's brilliant!

Effective during illness
I don't take zinc as a daily supplement but remember it during cold seasons when a cough gets in my way. I double or triple the dose when needed, and within just two days, everything returns to normal. It truly works; now I just need to persuade my family (and myself) to take it regularly.

Effective zinc variant
This is an excellent type of zinc that is easily assimilated and in a preventive dosage! If I start to feel unwell, I take two. I also give it to my children if they begin to cough, and by the morning, everything is fine! I highly recommend it!

Cough relief observed
I recommend it for the immune system. I noticed a chronic cough during the month, but when I took this, the cough ceased. It worked well for me.

Reduced cold frequency
Good! I have been taking this zinc for nearly a year alongside vitamin C, D, Omega, and group B. I've noticed I'm much less likely to catch colds and manage to tackle the onset of a cold more effectively. Previously, I would have a chronic cough, runny nose, and fever at the first sign of illness, but now I catch colds less often.
